Please to explain Trump supporters

I'm trying.  I swear I am.  To understand unconditional loyalty to Trump.  Please explain? During the election: "We will build a wall on the southern border and Mexico will pay for it!" Now: "I will shut the government down if congress doesn't send me a budget that includes taxpayer funds to build the wall." What happened to Mexico will pay?  Does this make you mad?

Damn people bug me!!!!!!!!!!!  Recently turned 55 and working on becoming an angry old man.  What age do I have to be where I can tell people what I REALLY feel and have people say, "Aww, he's an old man.  You can't blame him!"  (or punch him, more importantly)! 1. Yes guy leaving the grocery store in front of me.  Standing in the exit blocking me IS the best place to pause to clip the sunglasses over your prescription glasses!
